BJP condemns Ujjain professor's death

New Delhi -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday condemned the killing of a teacher of Ujjain's Madhav College, allegedly beaten by angry students, assuring the guilty would be punished whatever their political affiliation be.

"Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured that investigations are already underway and the guilty will be punished," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.

Several student leaders, allegedly of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad, the students' wing of the BJP, angry at the cancellation of the college polls, had allegedly attacked Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal Saturday, who later died in the hospital.
