What happened to Quota row in educational institutions

For so many days, many student bodies including medical associations went on strike to protest the quota hike for other backward class in educational institutions.But at last Supreme court intervened and asked students to stop protests and allow government committees to submit their suggestions.But then came the hiatus and all stopped to protest and ultimately quota bill got clearance from parliament without any exlusion to the creamy layer of backward class.

Are we living in democracy where government is choosen by the people and for the people but we have no say in policies affecting public.Government took no notice of so many protests and introduced the quota bill without amending it to prevent reservation of creamy layer so as to garner the vote bank and support from other backward class.If government really want to help people from backward class to come to the mainstream then what we need is compulsory free education to masses so that they can decide for their own what they want to be and to make them fundamentally strong so that they can bring innovative ideas by using their education and increase productivity and efficiency to their life to bring about better econmic development for our country.Reservation in institutes of higher learning will not do as much benefit then reservation in primary education institute and that too for all poor and not only for people of particular class.

But let us not wait for government to take action and decide to contribute our own resources for whatever we can do educate poor people.If each of us can educate 1 poor person or contribute for the education of 1 poor person that will make a whole lot of difference.

Now a days there is new concept gaining attention of corporate world i.e. Social Corporate Responsibility.But i think its not only corporate sector which should have resposibility for society development, its every individuals resposibility.So lets work together to give new impetus to Social Individual Resposibility (SIR).
